Over 30 years of experience as a small business owner/ginseng, dairy and beef farmer. 9 years as a Machinist at Marathon Electric; member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #1791. Jerry served for 6 Years in the U.S. Army Reserves (the 213th S&S Battalion). Jerry was elected to the State Assembly in 1998 and still serves currently.

Jerry is Chair of Assembly Transportation Committee; Voting member of Public Health and Public Safety, Rural Economic Development and Rural Affairs, and Veterans and Military Affairs; Serves on the Governor’s Council on Highway Safety, Transportation Projects Commission, Midwest Interstate Passenger Rail Commission, and the Rustic Roads Advisory Board.

Van Wanggaard was elected in 2010, beating an entrenched Democrat incumbent in a swing-district. Wanggaard, a retired police officer, has had an unwavering focus on revamping our business climate during his tenure. Wanggaard represents an area of the state the has suffered severe unemployment, but due to Wanggaard and Senate Republican efforts, is starting to see things turnaround.

Southeastern Wisconsin needs a voice like Wanggaard’s to ensure that we continue to foster a climate of job-creation, instead of forcing job creators to shoulder the burden of the budgetary challenges we are facing.

Senator Terry Moulton was elected to represent the 23rd Senate District in 2010, beating a well-financed incumbent who was heavily favored to win reelection. Moulton, a small business owner, has used his private sector experience to develop policies that help small business owners stay afloat during challenging economic times.

Moulton understands that the cost of government programs cannot be shouldered by small businesses, and has supported economic policies that ease the burden on property taxpayers and job creators.
